SEC Player of the Week 

Kacie Evans, Georgia

Offensive Player of the Week 

  Kacie Evans, Georgia

Evans, a senior outside hitter from Wadsworth, Ohio, averaged 5.27 points and 4.27 kills per set over three wins this past week for the Bulldogs. Evans posted two double-doubles, with starting with 19 kills and 11 digs against South Carolina to go along with a career-high seven blocks. She followed that with a season-high 28 kills and 12 digs in Sunday’s win over Texas A&M.

Defensive Player of the Week 

 Sophie Fischer, Georgia

Fischer, a junior middle blocker from Fort Mill, S.C., averaged 2.00 blocks per set in a 3-0 week for the Bulldogs. On Wednesday night, Fischer broke Georgia’s single-match record with 15 blocks against South Carolina. She finished the match with 10 kills to record her first career double-double.

Setter of the Week 

  Emma Grome, Kentucky

Grome, a sophomore from Loveland, Ohio, logged 11.75 assists per set to help the Wildcats post a .300 team hitting percentage over a pair of four-set wins. Grome recorded 49 assists, nine digs and a season-high four blocks at Missouri on Wednesday night. She followed that up with 45 assists against Alabama to help UK hit .323 for the match.

Co-Freshmen of the Week 

  Akasha Anderson, Auburn

Anderson, a pin hitter from Reston, Va., registered a career-high 26 kills and 10 digs in Wednesday’s five-set win over Mississippi State. It marked the fourth double-double for Anderson this season. She also recorded two blocks and two aces.

 Cammy Niesen, Ole Miss

Niesen, a libero from Cincinnati, Ohio, averaged 4.40 digs per set in the series split at LSU. Niesen recorded back-to-back 20+ digs performances for the first time in her career, including a career-high 24 digs in the opening match against the Tigers. She also added nine assists and four aces on the weekend.
