Bucks, Celtics, Nets, Cavaliers all pick up wins

Milwaukee Bucks extended their impressive start to eight straight wins after a 115-102 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Giannis Antetokounmpo was decisive with his triple-double for the Bucks. The Greek Freak finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists and Jrue Holiday contributed 29 points in the game. Anthony Edwards scored 24 points for the Timberwolves in the game.

Boston Celtics improved to 5-3 with a 123-119 win over the Chicago Bulls in their game on Friday. Jayson Tatum scored 36 points and 12 rebounds for the Celtics and Malcolm Brogdon scored 25 points. DeMar DeRozan scored 46 points for the Bulls in the game.

Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Detroit Pistons 112-88 to improve to 7-1 in the NBA this season. Jarrett Allen scored 23 points for the Cavs and Kevin Love contributed 21 points and ten assists in the game. Cade Cunningham scored 19 points for the Pistons.

New York Knicks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 106-104 with Jalen Brunson leading the scoring for them with 23 points. RJ Barrett also contributed 22 points for the Knicks as Tyrese Maxey scored 31 points for the Sixers.

Indiana Pacers claimed a 101-99 win over Miami Heat in their NBA encounter on Friday. Buddy Hield led the scoring for the Pacers with 25 points and Bennedict Mathurin scored 23 points in the game. D’Tigers star Gabe Vincent managed 15 points for the Heat in the game.

Brooklyn Nets picked up a blowout win over the Washington Wizards despite the off-the-court issues facing the franchise. Despite issues around the appointment of a new coach and suspension of Kyrie Irving, the Nets claimed a 128-86 win over the Wizards. Kevin Durant led the scoring with 28 points and 11 assists, and Nic Claxton scored 18 points in the game.

Los Angeles Clippers claimed a 113-106 win over the San Antonio Spurs in their NBA clash on Friday. Paul George led the scoring for the Clippers with 35 points while Ivica Zubac contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds. Darius Vassell scored 29 points for the Spurs.

Memphis Grizzlies claimed a 130-99 win over the Charlotte Hornets in their NBA meeting. Dillon Brooks led the scoring for the Grizzlies with 23 points as Desmond Bane scored 19 points in the game. Kelly Oubre Jr scored 17 points for the Hornets.

Dallas Mavericks defeated the Toronto Raptors 111-110 in the NBA on Friday. Luka Doncic led the scoring for the Mavericks with 35 points in the game and Spencer Dinwiddie scored 21 points for the team. OG Anunoby and Precious Achiuwa scored 27 and 15 points for the Raptors, respectively.

New Orleans Pelicans claimed a 114-105 win over the Golden State Warriors to hand them their fifth successive defeat this season. Brandon Ingram led the scoring with 26 points while CJ McCollum scored 20 points. Jordan Poole scored 20 points for the Warriors.

Portland Trail Blazers claimed a 108-106 win over the Phoenix Suns to improve their NBA record to 6-2 this season. Jerami Grant led the scoring with 30 points for Portland while Devin Booker scored 25 points for the Suns.

Utah Jazz defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 130-116 in their NBA clash on Friday to end their two-game winning run. Lauri Markkanen led the scoring in the game with 27 points and 13 rebounds for Utah, and Jordan Clarkson scored 20 points. Russell Westbrook scored 26 points for the Lakers in their defeat.
