Karim Benzema won the major prize at the 2022 Ballon d’Or ceremony held at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris on Monday.
The French ahead who led Real Madrid to the UEFA Champions League and La Liga double defeat off competitions from Saido Mane, and Kevin de Bruyne to assert his initially Ballon d’Or award.
Bayern Munich and Senegal forward, Saido Mane also gained the inaugural Socrates award for his social determination to his place.
Alexia Putellas gained the women’s Ballon d’Or for the 2nd consecutive time. Asisat Oshoala finished 16th.
